    Disable field edit in form

    Hi all-

I'm new to Access, so this could be an easy fix, but I'm not sure how to do it!

I have a table [MasterList] populated with all the folks invited to an event. Within this table, there is a field to indicate 'InviteType'. One group of people were only invited to the main event, so they're noted with a "1" and the other group was invited to a pre-reception AND the main event, so they're noted with a "2".

I've created a [Registration] form to capture the RSVPs and want to know at-a-glance the registrant's 'InviteType' based on the [MasterList], BUT I don't want it to be an editable field. Is there an easy want to 'gray' this field, so that the 'InviteType' cannot be changed via the Form field?

Also, is there a cheat sheet for the Property Sheet event names? I.e. "on dirty", "on got focus", "before update", etc??? I'm clueless!

    Thanks in advance!

Either the locked or enabled properties should lock that field on the form. If you hit F1 with the cursor in an event property, it should bring up context sensitive help on that event.
