Smile Excel / access report question.

    An introduction first.

Im Paul, work as a Lab technician in a food lab. We are just going through ISO 17025 accreditaion.
Ive built and maintain an access database but it is by no means my area of experise.

I have been given, a small task to create a basic access database for sample tracking.

My problem is, we have been keeping our records on separate excel sheets. Given the amount of information on these multiple sheets, it is not feasible to migrate this data into access.

The question I was going to ask is :- Can I create a field with a hyperlink to one of my excel sheets, which would print off as, maybe sheet two of my report?
The other fields within the database would be minimal; it is just a reference number tying together a few excel sheets.

I do hope this makes sense and thanks in advance of any replies.

I am facing the same problem.
I don't want to get the excel sheet data , I just want my hyperlink access field in table, to hold a link to an excel for specific worksheet.
This is part of our documantation system .
    Thanks
    Lizu

You can use the File Picker (File Dialog) in VBA to link to the .xls. However, I dont know how you would create a hyperlink to the specific worksheet.
