    Form (switchboard) issue

Hi - I have an issue that I cannot figure out, I have a very simple lookup db with a switchboard (1 button attached to a macro) to lookup an item in a table and display the data on a report. The issue is that 1 user opens the database, clicks on the button and nothing happens. When I go into the db I click on the button and it works and brings up the search parameter window, another user will go in and it will also work. I'm at a loss as to why this one user is having this issue. Any help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

of the database, such as when you open a access database it asks you to enable it and so all the code work behind the buttons...

The Macros may be disabled on the one persons Access. When they open it, look just above the database window and you may see a message stating that the macros have not been enabled. Alternately click on the Office button then goto Access Options:Trust Center:Trust Center:MacroSettings Settings in Access 2007. In earlier verions I believe it is Tools:Macros:Security.

Thanks for the info, another question when the user opens the security window, what are they trying to confirm/change Security level (high, Medium, Low) and under trusted publishers do they need to do anything?

On mine I have security level low and I have the trust all installed add-ins and templates check.

I set mine to low all the time. That isn't to say you want to trust every database you open though. You have to be watchful of the databases. If you are getting one from an outside source, you may want to re-enable the macro security until you have a chance to look at any macros/code in that database. Overall though if you are getting it from a person that develops them for a living you should be pretty safe. I also set my trust level to allow all add-ins.

Issue has been resolved. Seems that Access did not like the user's printer choice, they selected new printer and all functionality worked!!!!
