    table generated command button????

    Hi

    does anyone know if it is possible for a table to generate a command button

    i.e. i am creating a new visitor book and would like a button creating for then to sign out, - the button would need to have their name on and link to a form showing their details

    is this possible

    If I have understood your requirement, the answer is, 'No.' Command buttons cannot be bound to a column on an underlying recordset; they were not designed for this purpose.

    But ...

    Why not use a textbox or label and format it to look like a button? You can then take the appropriate action for the OnClick event. What you don't get is that satisfying in-out motion of a command button although you might even simulate that with the OnMouseDown event

    Textboxes are troublesome in that they have to be enabled which means the user can overtype the text. Labels overcome this but remember to use the Caption property.

    Want to store the associated primary key? Why not use the Tag property of the control?
