    Form to text format

    Hi there

Havent got much to do with access before, however I was told to research on tool to create word files in same format based on a database. The idea is to help engineers, using database and automate their job where possible. I thought I could create a tab form: 10 tabs, usually text box(for description of data in a table) and subform with table in every 1 tab. Than use stylesheet to export all input to pdf/word format. Do you think it could work? what about LaTeX?
I was trying to google something like this but no luck so far, so all links would be useful
    thx

    Have you considered:
    1. Building templates in Word
    2. Building a Query in Access
    3. Create a merge between your Access Template and your Query
    4. The Query then populates your Word template with appropriate database information.
    Alternatively,
    1. Create a report in Access using the same layout as your current Word Document.
    2. Build a Query
    3. Use the Query as your record source for the Report and fill in the appropriate sections of the report with your query fields.

I was a little confused by your request, so this is what I interpreted what you are attempting to do. Did I hit or miss the mark. If I missed, then perhaps more detailed information on specifically what you are attempting.

im supposed to build a strategy creator which would be for non IT people to use. Each strategy contain ~10 sections, mostly text + table (3-4 ms word pages alltogether). As its filled in by engineers without IT knowledge, it has to be straight forward and user friendly, so form seems to be more reasonable?!?
It used to be done manually in Word, however adding data to all tables took way too long as it could be done with few clicks... Besides engineers couldnt be bothered to keep the same format. Exporting to xml with custom xsl might sort it out and make it look the same as our customer requested.
I developed a new database which stores data for all strategies' input and would join it with the other db to enable adding tech data based on some inputs.
The question is what would be the easiest way to export it to text document?
