Having difficulty with Date use

I have a form which shows multiple records from a repairs DB. One of the fields is Date. I have a textbox at the top of the form which I want to enter/pick a date and have the records on the form show for that date only. I can't get my head around it.
Can anyone point me in the right direction, I've searched this forum for 2 hrs now and none of the examples cover what I want as far as I can see.

If you have a field called Date, that is a problem. Date is a reserved word in Access.

You say you might pick a date. Well Access has a calendar control which you could use on your form.

What was I thinking.... reserved words... also the video was great.
For some reason I just can't get my head around VB in Access yet 5 years ago I wrote a VB app using the jet engine to do data manipulation on an Access db. I think I'm just getting senile... stand by for more obvious questions....
