    query results as criteria

i made query1 calculate the date difference of items
    query2 selects the lowest results

now what i want to do is:
    1. get the date that resulted to the lowest date difference
    2. use this date as a criteria to a field
    3. copy the value of the field to the current form
    help!
    Thank you in advance.

ok so my query contains this so far:
    items customer date_received ending balance
    bags george 3/17/2011 5000
    bags george 3/3/2011 23
    bags george 3/18/2011 24

the ending balance here is also computed depending if it was received or delivered.
the criteria for this was based on the form the user was currently using

    thanks
