    Duplicating Database

I need some help, I have created a simple database that tracks work orders .. everything works nicely, except when I move it on to our shared drive and open the DB, it creates multiple versions of itself, with the same data/structure but smalled in size, the files are named Database.mdb, Database1.mdb etc etc where as the main file is called Work_Order_Tracker.accdb.

When I work on it locally, this does not occur which is what I'm finding very odd.

Anyone have any idea what might be causing this, it's driving me round the bend?

    Thanks

First turn off the compact on close.

Next you need to be sure to Split your Access database into application and data (Click Here) Only the back end goes in the network share. Every user will need their own copy of the fornt end. The back end is what is shared.
