They used to work, but all my charts won't repaint anymore.
If I switch to another window and then back again, they repaint.
Even if I wipe another window over it, it repaints.

You know, I've had that problem before and I narrowed it down to one of two things, both of which I've experienced:
1) too much RAM being used by other programs.
2) a virus on the machine
I wouldn't be surprised if that is the case for you too. Might not be though. Maybe compact the db or restart the machine?
Thanks for your suggestion, but I have 9 gb ram, and AVG has always been a good antivirus, although I'm running another scan now.
This has been happening for several restarts, and I don't have any evidence of a virus.
It's a mystery. I have upgraded this database ever since Access 1.0. Every time I do it, I have to make adjustments for the new version. But I went to 2007 quite a while ago, and it has been working properly.
the only other thing I would suggest is that there is something wrong with an initialization file for Access.
I've had this happen in plenty of programs I've had, and for which other people have had to. I know this happens a lot with pirated software, any software on old machines that can't handle the processing requests, etc...
and it could also be something wrong with windows. ya never know.
good luck with it though!
Does anyone else have any ideas? I used the same version of access on my laptop computer to make a graph. That eliminates, (pretty well) the idea that it's a virus or that it is an installation problem. I also 'repaired' access on the desktop.
Is this problem only on my two computers and no one else's?
Thanks for any responses.
