    Count Items by Time Period

    I have a single table of equipment with in service & out of service dates. I would like to create a query (crosstab?) which has rows by year and columns by month with a count of the equipment in service during those periods. Best way to proceed?

    * first you may need a query to assign each record to a month, plus filter for only the in-service records

    * you need to make an Aggregate query that counts the records as correctly grouped by Month

    * then if you really want a crosstab look - which is only a display - you can use the Aggregate query as the source;

    Hope this helps.
