Email Excel Spreadsheet from Access

I have several scheduled tasks that run a macro in Access to email a query as an .xlsx file. When the reader receives the Excel file, it is read only.

Is there a way to email an updatable file (remove read only)?

hmmm - not sure that is an Access issue or a trust issue at the far end. An unzipped excel may be received as not-trusted because it could have code that spreads viruses....have the recipient save the sheet, then right click on this and in properties - see if there is an 'unblock' one can do...

just a guess.

I changed some of the trust settings in Excel and it solved the problem.
