    Trouble with (R)

When I try and enter data in a text field that includes Upper Case letter "R" enclosed in brackets, it immediately gets converted to the Registered format, an R in a circle, as in Registered trademark. Is there a way to avoid this? The same thing happens in Excel.

    Thanks,
    Bill
