Query table not visible - but criteria runs OK

I have a query. it has criteria and runs fine.

but the table (dc1_before) that created those criteria is not visible inside the criteria design view. when I tried to show the table to the design view, it makes the visible table a different name (dc1_before_1)

both the query and the table are visible/not hidden on the objects pane

how can I see the dc1_before table that created the query criteria

when adding table back - names table different than criteria based on

When Access adds the "_1", it means the table already exists. I suggest you reexamine the query window, ensure you move the focus to see all areas of the window.

Move the view of the query design screen around, that original table might be below or to the right of the visible screen.
