Hello,
I am very new to Access so I am hoping I am missing something obvious here.
I have created a form in my database to show a log of items sold and some other order details. I have used conditional formatting successfully to make each product change the text color in their row based on the text entered into the products column... except for ONE of the items..
The product column (Product_Desc) is formatted with the conditional formatting tool like so:
Format only cells where the:
Field Value Is equal to: "Product Code - Product Name"
all of the other columns I want to have the color effected on are set up like this:
Format only cells where:
Expression is [Product_Desc]= "Product Code - Product Name"
All of the items have unique codes and names, each one is working to change the colors in the rows as I have planned but one. All of the codes and names are the same format, so there is nothing different about that one other than it is the last one I attempted to set up. I think it was the end of the day so I saved and closed out, and then went back the next day to add that one. I have tried numerous variations to get it to work but for some reason it will not change the color.
Whenever I open the conditional formatting tool and look at the codes and rules it looks just like the others.
Is there a limit to how much conditional formatting can go into a form? Is there another way I can look at these rules I have set up other than in the conditional formatting tool? If it is a bug of some sort, what would be the best way to fix it? I could try recreating the form but changing everything within the formatting tool takes awhile due to all the products and columns I am working on.
Also.. is there an easier way to do conditional formatting in a form, like copying the rules from one row to the next?
Thank you so much!!
