    Printers. Which tray?

A very simple configuration. 2 PCs Both PCs run exactly the same Access code (they load the same accdb file from a server at start of day)

Each PC has a separate default printer. The printers are the same type and have two paper trays. Tray 1 is loaded with A4 paper and Tray 2 has A5 paper

The application has a Report for Invoices. Invoices are designed to fit on A5 paper. If you view the Page Setup details of the Invoice report on the first PC it shoes Tray 2 as the designated destination for Invoices

But the second PC always shows Tray 1.

Where are the Tray details held? It can’t be in the accdb file as both PCs have identical copies of this file.

Does anyone have a definitive "The black art of printing with Access 2016"?

This looks like the same question where I answered but nothing came of it

It is the same configuration but a slightly different set of circumstances. My previous note concerned the situation where one printer was broken and the two PCs (running identical code) had to share one printer.
The broken printer has been replaced, so now each PC has its own (default) printer.
At some point in the past, before the printer issues both PC's printed properly to A5 (Tray 2) and to A4 (Tray 1) according to the Size defined in the Page Setup of the report (in the accdb)
but now the situation is as above in that one PC always says A5 is in Tray 2 and the other says Tray 1 - so my question is "where is this Tray definition held - because it can't be in the accdb???

And I did view your previous answer but the advice about setting "Default paper size" to yes made the situation considerably worse!!

Also now both printers are printing a double sided A5 report which used to print on a single sheet on three separate pieces of A5 - front - blank - back (and again I emphasise the code or report structure has not changed)

So I am asking again - sorry :-(

So the new printer is not showing Tray 2 for A5?
AFAIK, the double sided is set up in the printer?, so someone has not configured the new printer correctly and altered the working printer?

Any response form you would have been more courteous than none at all. It seems that you also could use some info about cross posting as well, as either behaviour can land you on anyone's ignore list. It's even in WGM's signature - might be a good idea if you reviewed it for future consideration.

My apologies, I mean neither to annoy nor break any rules. However I am stuck with an increasingly angry customer who would like answers to his printing issues. I appreciate (now!) that it could well be nothing to do with Access and is more than likely to do with the printer configuration.
But the printer "expert" he brought in to provide the replacement printer seems to be a pure hardware guy and assumes that "IT Support" should know all about his printer when it comes to the necessary set up details.
This has left me somewhat isolated and I am struggling to find an answer - in my desparation I may have overstepped the line.

I did not repond to your earlier "answer" with any negative comments - because (as you see) I have not got a fix - so I was not going to say "it didn't work" as that would simply look like a negative - I really want to find an answer - and if I do - and it is releavant to Access then I would/will respond here.
I have done some tweaking tonight to the printer configuration - without much hope - let's see what tomorrow brings

Can you get onto the computer remotely and check the printer setup?

Yes - isn't AnyDesk wonderful, makes working from home the best thing ever.
Trouble is - not sure what I am looking for.
Anyway - exhausted now - taken some screen shots of the printer "settings" and will start again in the morning (GMT)

Go into each printer, screen print or write down the settings for each and compare.
You could also share the 'correct' printer and use that from the other PC, but you also say now that has gone to duplex?

Have you tried to programmatically set the tray? Here are some links for that:
