accdb file not visible from domain computer since Installation of Office365

    Hi

I recently upgraded some of the domain computers to MS Office365. Since then users are unable to access one file (accdb) on the server. Ive navigated to the folder on the server from one of the domain computers and the accdb file isnt even visible.

While the computer was on windows 10 it was showing with a synchronization symbol (green with circular arrows) on it and with 0 size. Since upgrading the PC to windows 11, it isnt visible or accessible at all.

The server is running Access 2016. Could that be the issue?

    Thanks

A number if things sound wrong here.

The green synchronisation symbol generally means that it is actually being store on one drive and it's attempting to sync with the cloud copy.
This will be a disaster and I'm amazed it worked if at all.

Secondly, is this a Backend data file (BE) or the complete database?
Is the database split into a Front End (FE) Access database that each user has a copy of linked with the backend data stored on the server?

If not it should be, and the BE data must NOT be stored in a one drive synced location, it will break.

Thanks for your response. It is a split db and the data section is definitely NOT on one drive. Both FE and BE are stored on server and accessed from there by each user. The file with the sync problem is a copy of the FE - but only on one machine. All other users can see the FE database on the server.

Users should not be sharing the FE. Each user should have a copy of the FE on their local machine. Sharing the FE will lead to corruption

Usually the user FE files are stored on the local C:\ drive, not the server, what happens on the problematic machine if you put a copy of the FE in a folder of C:\? If the file is linked properly and the user has access to the server it should have access to the BE file (and usually be a bit faster then using the FE from the server).
