Is there anyway to tell if a new record is being added or if it is being changed?

I need to know how to tell if a record needs to be added or just edited. If it is a new record, I need .addNew. If changing an existing record, I need .edit. I am adding or editing records on formOne where these changes are made in formTwo. FormTwo is where it need to know if it is addNew or edit.

You need to know if record on FormOne is new so that FormTwo can be opened appropriately?

    If Me.NewRecord Then
    'do this
    Else
    'do this
    End If

I enter data into formOne. FormOne send data to tables for formTwo. I need to know whether to add a new record in the table for formTwo or edit an existing one.

I don't understand. Is FormOne UNBOUND?

Could provide your db for analysis.

Ok, I had a senior moment there. All I have to do is use 'find first' to see if a file exist. Thanks for trying to figure out what I needed.
