That's a bit like asking what's your favourite colour. Then would you buy a car, coat, or house painted in it. Probably not all three.
A lot depends on size, background colours, purpose of the text.

Agree with the previous comments. There are plenty of fonts that would be terrible but several that work perfectly well according to user preference.
For the last 15+ years, I have used the default font Calibri and it works fine as far as I'm concerned.
However in the next month or so, the default in Office 365 will change to Aptos - it looks similar and you might not notice the difference. Its probably already listed as available in your font list.
Depends on the context. Here's a few things to consider in general:
- Is easy to read
- It goes well with the general feel of the app. If it's a formal app with tame colors and serious look, I'd expect a formal font, like Times New Roman, which is very angular and elegant, or Arial. If it's an informal kind of app, with curves, round shapes, bright colors, etc, I'd expect a font with more curves than corners, like, say Segoe UI or Century Gothic, even Comic Sans.
- I'd check if there are characters that don't fit well, like numbers not being at the same height, or several characters looking the same.
- If you're going to compare lines of text below other lines of text and spacing is important, a monospace font would work well.
- In the particular case of Access, there's a very annoying issue with some font colors and selections, the default font color, for example, when selected, it shows pixels in other colors. I'd make sure I select a color that does not produce this effect, like pure colors or others that do not produce that effect, I like using 0,128,255, for example, it gives me a nice blue that can be selected without this effect being too noticeable. Check the attached images, the one at the top is the default and has that weird coloring effect with selections, the one below also has the effect but it's a lot easier to read and it looks better when selected, that's pure black.
There are a ton of fonts online that have a great design and feel, you'd just have to make sure the end user will have the font installed.
