    Well I did register there, but it appeared very restrictive, so I did not bother further. However I do not understand why my phone is different to my laptop?, both are using chrome.

    I tried again this morning and I had a Login button on the old thread.
    I logged in and tried the link again. This time I was taken to the recent thread.
