    Weird Intellisense behavior

I had a field names "Ship_Zip" specifically like that (note the I in Zip).
Access was weirdly naming it "Ship_ZIp" so I looked at the control name and I misspelled it and then corrected it.

Yet Intellisense kept renaming it with the capital I so I copied the control and deleted it.
Now Intellisense cannot find the control but still renames it???

Typing it out you can see intellisense can't find it:

after moving to the next line:

Name:	Capture4.PNG
Views:	20
Size:	638 Bytes
ID:	50122

upon compile it says "Method or Data member not found"

Any idea what is going on here? It is bugging me a lot haha
(P.S. this is in Access 2019)
Edit: I have closed and reopened the database too.
    Thanks!

I've experienced that before also, but not quite remembering how I sorted it out.

Have you tried compact and repair and a decompile/recompile?

    Also check name autocorrect settings.

I tried compact and repair to no avail. I assume you mean the autocorrect settings inside the current db options?
I was expecting a list of words that it autocorrects for some reason but autocorrect is turned on and I would prefer to keep it that way as it is useful. Was there something specific I should toggle here though?
Decompile/recompile I will give a look into trying!

Any other ideas? Thanks for these ones!

The decompile worked! Thank you so much!
I am surprised there isn't a button to do that in the editor and that it doesn't do that on compact & repair or when the DB restarts.

Many, if not most, of us leave that turned off unless specifically needed . It has the nickname Auto Corrupt for a reason.

My guess is that is because you can't do it when the db is open, and you wouldn't want it repeating the cr next time you opened it if you forgot to disable the option. It's wise to make a db backup before a cr, so there's that too.

The Name AutoCorrect feature is perfectly safe if used properly - see Use Name AutoCorrect Successfully (isladogs.co.uk)
