How do I deal with this when I click on fields on access database report.
I do not want to see that highlight thing in report view.
Attached is an illustration of what I mean

That's the way Report View behaves. Can't change.

I did some testing. Row only highlights when I click in margin area. If I click directly in any textbox, does not highlight. That's best I can offer.

Do you have to use report view? Print Preview does not seem to exhibit this behaviour.
The more we hear silence, the more we begin to think about our value in this universe.
Paraphrase of Professor Brian Cox.
Not trying to argue the point - just saying in case you didn't know, you can set some report properties such as border style and make it a popup if it has something to do with how it's rendered in print preview. I tried several options but couldn't prevent the highlighting that you don't like, so I guess you have to decide which is worse; highlighting or print preview because you're stuck with the way report view works.
