Years ago when I took Access training, the lookup fields were discussed and encouraged.
I see modern training and apps that still use them.
How shocking to run across this:

Do newer versions of Access overcome these complaints based on earlier versions of Access?
Lacking was a suggestion on how best to design and implement if one is going to avoid the use of lookup fields in tables.
Any practical ideas, since I'm still learning the theoretical best practices?
