Edit Buttons for a Rich Text Box on Form

I have a Rich Text Box on a dialog form. This means that the built in Access buttons for controlling things like Bullets and Fonts etc. are not accessible by the user of the form. (Plus they're kind of out of the way for the user even if the form is not accessible.)

Is there any way that I can place command buttons on the form to mimic this functionality? I feel like it might be pretty complicated but I can't seem to find any reference commands.

I know it pops up formatting options if you highlight text, but users may not know this *shrug*

Any ideas of where to start if this is possible?
    Thanks

I believe the best approach is to use a customized ribbon. I think (but am not sure) that one can have a custom ribbon appear with a specific form.

I have not done this. I have made custom ribbons but they were for the entire user db - and it did not vary by form/screen.

If my guess is correct - then for this form you could have that ribbon with just those font editing icons - so it would be right there for the users.

    Hope this helps a little.

    Good Idea

I do think that would work. Unfortunately, since this particular form can also open as a dialog box it prevents use of any ribbon

I have learned that rich text is stored simply using HTML tags. I think I'll try and make some command buttons that take advantage of this to insert the things needed.

Thanks for the link though - very informative
