Question...I'm trying to figure out how to append a crosstab query to update an existing table. My issue is that I need the crosstab query to look at the primary key of the existing table and put the data in the appropriate row/field.

Perhaps, bring the query and the table into Power Query and use the Append Feature. To do this, you must be using XL2010 or later.
Normally crosstab queries are summary data snapshots of e.g. aggregate queries and don't include the primary key field.
If you really must duplicate data, just base the append query on the source data not the crosstab.
But the question is whether you really do need to store the data twice.
this looks more like the need for an update query rather than an append query. My issue is that I need the crosstab query to look at the primary key of the existing table and put the data in the appropriate row/field.
you really need to provide more information such as the sql and result of the crosstab and the design of the table you want to append (or update)
