Why not simply run an Update query (e.g. from AfterUpdate event of form) for tblFaulty, which overwrites previous SumofQty with SUM of all Qty's for this product in tblFaultyDetail?

Hi Guys, to close this thread, I have resolved the problem now. The action I took was to set the PK to productID in tblfaulty and the script now runs as expected. Thanks for your input
