Need help in the worst way

In my office we are using a database that does not give me a new number every time I load a new package? How do I work it so everytime I enter a package a number appears that I can track it? I hope I explained this well enough

It is not exactly clear what you are trying to do but it looks like you may just be entering in maybe a package number and a couple of other fields. When you make a new entry you want Access to create a random number?

If so this is relatively easy. Go into your table in design view and add a field. Your field name can be whatever you would like. Under the Data type field select Auto Number. THis will assign a sequential number to this field when a new entry is made.
