Linked Excel table not updating Access table

I need users to be able to update an Access table from a linked Excel sheet, but when I enter data into the Excel sheet it doesn't update the Access table and just deletes itself. When I enter data into the Access table it populates in the Excel sheet, but thats not what I need it to do.

You linked to Excel from Access? To populate Access table with Excel data, need to use an SQL action to insert records or use TransferSpreadsheet.

Its not clear, at least to me, what you are doing.
However, unless you have an ancient version of Access (2000 or earlier), linked Excel files cannot be directly updated from Access.
That functionality was removed almost 20 years ago after a patent infringement lawsuit
