FE db is locking BE on some machines

    Hi,
We are using a split access db (2010 32b). BE is located on a file server and FE is installed on windows 10 machines. DB is used by 30 people.
3 users/machines are facing problems. Opening access on these machines will "always" lock the be bd. Also if machine is used by users who are not facing this problem on their own machine.
    I checked the following:
    - user have the correct folder permissions
    - DB is set in shared mode
    - Machines have the same access version

    - Reinstall MSaccess

It looks like that the problem is machine related.

Does anybody has an idea where to find the solution?
    Thanks.

    Regards, Dries

Some things you could try on these machines:
    * close the FE and check if there still is a laccdb file is present, if so delete it
    * create on the machine a new, empty access front end and link one or two tables from the BE to this new access file. Open it and see if it locks the database.

    No laccbd file present

Yes, this also locks the database. I also made a new BE. This file also locks..

the only other thing I can think of is that the users log in as Windows 10 administrator on their machine and open access as admin.
