    Database locked?

"The database has been placed in a state by user 'Admin' on machine 'X-*****' that prevents it from being opened or locked."

How on Earth can I reverse this? And how did I get it to that state in the first place?

I'd be very grateful for advice, the programme is useless unless I can enter data.

somebody have opened the database (maybe you open it in another instance) and locked it(updating forms, reports, modules etc.)

ask all others to close the database, you youself close too. then reopen it.
