I have exported an Oracle table (11.1.0.6) that contains a CLOB data type column using Toad for Oracle (9.7) to an Access Database (2003). The largest CLOB column contains 85,291 characters. I have attempted to view the column converted to CLOB. "Long binary data" is displaying in field and the field data type in ACCESS is OLE Object. When I attempt to double-click, I get the following prompt, "A problem occurred while Microsoft Office Access was communicating with the OLE server or ActiveX Control. Close the OLE Server and restart it outside of the Microsoft Office Access. Then try the original operation again in Microsoft Office Access."

A) Why would it show Long binary data when it text information I exported? Is this correct?
B) How can I view OLE Object data in column?
