    Super easy question probably

I'm new to access, but I was wondering (and this is just an example) if I had a table of just different foods and then another table of grocery lists (so rows would be the lists and each column would be a different food item), how would I do that? I just can't figure out how to take each food from one table into rows and columns of another table.

I strongly suggest you do some reading on Normalization. Google has pleanty of hits for this. It will save you a ton of grief later on.

your List table should consist of 3 columns; an autonumber - that is the primary key; a ListID column - that ties together all items that are in the same list should have the same ID; and an Item column - make this a 'LookUp' field pointed at your Foods table.
