Memo field text formatting depending on who updated the field

I have a notes field where I would like the text input by the creator of the note to be a certain colour and then subsequent updates to the note from other users a different colour

I envisage two different forms, one for the creator and the other for everybody else. Would also like to pull the resultant field into a report and retain the formatting

So far have formatted the notes field as rich text and from there I'm stumped

Any help would be much appreciated

    Thanks

    Ian

Are you adding more data to an existing single memo record?

You would be much better off having multiple separate "note" records with fields for who and when it was created.
Much easier to search and work with.

I agree with Minty. Design a separate table with the fields you need.
Perhaps you could describe to readers more about your proposed application and the "notes" in simple terms.

Ok, Here's how it looks in the report and multi contributors can add to the note by clicking on the pencil and adding to the note.

I must admit that I was already thinking that a one to many multiple note field for each contribution might be a better approach

Can you post a copy (jpg) of your tables and relationships?
Also, a description of the "business" involved would also help readers with context.

It a pretty straight forward relationship, the notes file controls the contents of a delivery priority list. A single record in the notes file could have numerous customer lines in the TBS file and the note field acts as a header for the group of TBS lines.
The notes file is linked from a network location, the other files are all local.

Our logistics manager is the gatekeeper of the priority list various department managers respond with updates to the original note

    Thanks

??? I do not understand your tables and relationships.
I recommend names without embedded spaces.

Here is a link to a generic Products and Deliveries set up. It may give you some ideas.

You could add/remove/ adjust things to suit your needs. eg A PriorityList....
