Hi all,
I use a database with many different tables, forms, queries etc. The basic table contains fields like first name, surname, date of birth, address etc. For the surname field i use a validation rule: Like "a*" Or Like "b*" Or Like "c*" Or Like "d*" Or Like "e*" Like "f*" Or Like "g*" Or Like "h*" Or Like "i*" Or Like "j*" Or Like "k*" Or Like "e*" Like "f*" with the validation text: Only for A - K Surnames. Otherwise please use L - Z My Practice. It has been working perfectly fine for a few months now. However, over the past few weeks it will not allow me to use surnames starting with "E" or "F" and every time i try one of these letters i get the validation text. It still works as expected for all the other letters of the alphabet. Did anyone have any similar problems? Is there any solution to that?
Many thanks,
ps: the reason for the validation rule is that my database became too big (over 2 GB) and I chose to split in half, one for clients A-K and one identical for L-Z.
