I am new to 2010, some of my continuous forms change shades every other record so you can see them easier and some are all one shade, how do you get access to change the shade every record?
Thanks for help.

In 2007 it's in the properties of the detail section, on the format tab: "Alternate Back Color"
Does it work for data sheet too?
That does work for continuous view but not data sheet view, is there another option for that or do you just live with the background it provides?
To be honest I don't like datasheet view and never use it. A brief test confirms that it doesn't work. I can't think of another option offhand. I know a code method for reports, but not for forms.
What would you use if you needed to display several records with several fields? I also have a sub that is called after update of any fields.
I use continuous view. I feel like I have more control over the look, and you can have buttons in the detail section which you can't in datasheet view. Your sub should work the same, as each textbox still has the same events.
I like continuous view but one think that is very nice about datasheets is you can have a bunch of columns and sometimes you just want 4 columns other times you want them all. It is easy to hide and unhide columns, is there a way to do that in continuous view? I use continuous view often but I think I would have to hard code in hiding.
I don't think I've ever had a situation where the columns I wanted to display changed that much. It would certainly be trickier in continuous view.
