    Customer Account Database

    Hello,

I run a horse training business and have made an access database to track all of our customer info, horse info, care and training reports as well as invoicing. However, we have a few issues with the invoicing portion - the chief of which is that 3rd party care (vet, farrier, chiro etc) prices are different each appointment - so having a single entry price list does not work (because when you change the price to invoice a customer it changes the price in every entry)

Is there a way around this?

What I am working on is a system that would have a table for our standard services with set pricing, and one for 3rd parts charges where each entry would hold its own price.

What I'm also trying to do is make a charge and invoice system so that when a horse receives a service, a charge can be entered on that day instead of having to keep track and remember at the end of the month to invoice for everything that happened. Then when we want to invoice a customer we could select which charges to invoice for, and populate an invoice.

Is this possible, and if so how would I set it up?

I would have a price field in the invoice details table. You can use to populate it when you choose a product:

Would I be able to have some things (like training, rentals etc) come with a populated price, and some things (like a vet visit) be able to enter a price - without it messing up previous entries?

Sure, because the price is stored with the individual transaction. Even if the price is pre-populated, it can be overridden.

I'd use a combo and the 2nd method in post 2. The combo would get its selections from the services table.

Can attach the db here, or at least post your code and the error description?
