Query latest record

I have a query but I want only the last entry for a certain field (The field is tied to a patient and it may be entered a number of times). I want the data from the last time it was entered.

I figured there must be a last function that I can use... Thanks for any help.....

looks ok. Can it be done in QBE or do I need SQL??

They can be done in the QBE. For the first, you'd have to click on the "E" in the toolbar that says "Totals". Then you'd group by the key field and max the date field.
