    Making edits to templates

    Hello

    Forum

Inventory 2007 Template fits what I need to keep track of stock take.

But there are columns that I do not want

and additions I would like to add. Example tables but when I did so. Information goes haywire.

    Is it adviseable to edit?

Maybe just add a field because I would like to filter Employees to their different sections.

If yes, how can I go about doing it?

    Thanks.

    Yours Sincerely,
    Haziq

Before you do anything with software you need to have the design of your system written down. You have to know exactly what you want, not leave it to Access to make those determinations for you. Only then can you decide what you like and what you don't like about templates, what works and what needs to be changed. Personally I find it very difficult to take someone else's working system and try to mold it to my requirements.

You may find it is easier to start from scratch, depending on how well the template fits with your requirements, otherwise you will be "band-aiding" this database forever.
