Dont know if anybody can perhaps help or point me in right direction
So have a excel sheet with all the out standings /debtors from the accounting system.
This can be imported from excel into a Access table as a linked table.No problem
What I want to do is have extra columns on the database(linked table) to write updated comments or create two new fields which can be worked on to give a status update.
Issue is that if the sheet is updated(from excel which comes from Accounting system) it needs to keep those updated comments relating to that client if money still owing and if the client has paid the line will disappear as client not on outstanding anymore or not on excel sheet anymore
The issues I got is that cant update the access linked table-says as says recordset is not updatable
Is there perhaps a query I could run or how should I set it up.
Any advice?
