    System.mdw


    Hello All ... can anyone tell me where I can find this file on my Office 365 Win 10 system or where I can download a copy please?

    if it is anywhere it should be C:\windows\system32\system.mdw

    but don't know if 365 still supports mdw, think the only way it might work is if you are running an access 2003 file in 365 - in which case the file should be created automatically

    Don't know if you can download a file that is some 10 years out of date, best to refer to your original office 2003 disks

    One can use a .MDW when opening a legacy dB in Access 2016.

    My problem was that Access 2016 continues with the .MDW when one tries to open another and even a new dB.

    I kept working on the problem and turned out all one has to do to get back to the default no .MDW is to delete the .MDW so all good for me now.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
