Search for a group of words in any order?

Hey, so I used to do this stuff twenty years ago but I have forgotten pretty much everything and just need to do this until we get our inventory item descriptions standardized.

So we have a table for our inventory and it has a description field that, well, describes the product code in question. The problem is that the descriptions don't have standard formats for their respective items. For instance, we sell things in different types of steel. If I were to search for stainless*steel the way it's set up now, it only returns records that have the words in that order. The problem is that some items also are described as "steel stainless". This is just an example, we sell lots of other stuff that's not standardized in the description as well.

Can anyone help me create a search form that will find a group of search terms in any order so that if I search for stainless steel then it will also show records that are "steel stainless" etc.?

I planned on doing all of this myself to relearn what I have forgotten but I really need to get this done asap because it eats up time we don't have.

Can't say how efficient it would be but a criteria of:

Like "*steel*" And Like "*stainless*"

may work.

I agree with Paul. However, you might find this modified universal search of some value.
