Having problem with relationship of tables

    Hello forum,
I need help with assigning relationships to tables.
I am having trouble with qty calculated as user will draw out or stock in inventory to update the holding qty of the item in the store.

    Can someone help me out?

Plus how can I upload pictures in the forum?

    Thanks,

    Yours Sincerely,
    Haziq

NEVER use calculated fields in tables, this is what queries are for. Remove both the quantity tables and replace with queries.

    Hi

if you select advanced options you will see the item Attachments this is where you can upload files etc.

As to your other issues can I suggest that as well as listing your problem you also tell us exactly what you are hoping to achieve.

I have been working on a single database for nearly a year and I have lost count of the number of times I have been given a solution which approached the problem from a different view point.

As I understand it you are updating a stock field of some description. There are no doubt hundreds of ways to do this.

You could have the enduser input a figure which you could then use as a temporary variable and from there you could use that in a query.

Watch this space and someone much celverer than me will come along and say that there is an easier way...

You could always check out the Northwind database?

Okay. I will remove the calculated fields and use queries instead.
    Thanks

    Thanks for your reply,

I will state what I want my outcome to be than just state my problem next time round.
