Question about Minimize forms

Question, when I open a form from my main form this form minimizes so the new form pops up, what is happening is that when the command run to minimize and open the new form, the whole MS Access application minimizes, is this normal?

you may be minimizing the wrong object.
instead of minimizing, just call forth the next form.
this form will now be in front and the others behind it. (a 'minimize' of sort)
