    It works fine on my computer when i reference the Microsoft Office 16.0 Object library, but not for my coworker... he's getting the error "missing or broken reference to mso.dll version 2.8" and it says MISSING: Microsoft Office 16.0 Object library in his references.



    So, I tried to reference the MS Office 15.0 Object library but it keeps defaulting to 16.0. Help! I have to present this database in 4 hours.

    You might need to load the example DB onto the co-worker's PC and create the menu there, then copy the new menu to the target DB on the co-worker's PC.
    In other words, get the example DB to run on the co-worker's PC and go from there.

    sounds like you may need to use late binding. It would appear your co-worker is using a different version of access.

    Not sure if it will work, but perhaps for a quick fix, go to you coworkers machine with a copy of your development app. Open in design view and fix the reference there. Make sure it runs OK. Then save the file, then copy back to your machine. Access will usually 'move up' version numbers, but never down.
