Attachment field type - drag drop file into control - not responding when record has focus

I have a table with a field of type 'HyperLink'.

This enables me to drag and drop a file from explorer into the control bound to this field, and bit of VBA code processes the file and moves it to a network location. It then deletes the field value.
The form that does all this is a Continuous Form... in case that makes any difference with my problem.

    My problem...
If I've altered another field on the record, the control does not allow me to drag and drop a file.
It's only when I click on a control in the Form Header, to remove the focus from that record, that I can drag and drop a file.

The drag and drop works great, but the annoying bit is that i'll try and drag/drop, it wont respond. So have to release, click the form header, then try again.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

    Thanks!

As long as I exit the edited control by tab or enter key, I was able to then do drag and drop.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

you're right... pressing tab to exit a control does maintain the ability to drag/drop into the attachment control.
This is a good tip, thanks
