[database.mdb] isn't an Index in this table.

This is my first post so here goes:

[database.mdb] isn't an Index in this table. Look in the index collection of the TableDef object to determine the valid index names

The above message is coming when i am opening .mdb file in Access 2013. Does anyone know what could have caused this and how to repair .mdb file?
Really appreciate any and all feedback

depends on which version of .mdb you have. Access 2013 no longer supports the 97 version of .mdb although should still work with 2000/2003.

do you have a copy of 2010 or earlier? if so try opening the mdb with one of those and compacting. Also see this link
