Hello,
I've been able to store files inside MS Access using the "attachment" data type and the "OLE" data type. With attachments, I must manually select the file. With OLE, I can drag the file onto the field. However, I cannot seem to drag these objects/files FROM the form onto another application. Instead, I must open the file directly from the form. I have multiple copies of the target application running and want to direct which instance will open the file. When I double click on the file (instead of drag and drop), Windows opens yet another instance of the application. I've looked at other forums and online sources and much of the discussion is about how to drag OLE object ONTO MS Access forms. I want to drag the OLE object or a file FROM the form. Does anyone have any advice? I am hoping this can be accomplished by tweaking some form settings without having to use VBA.
Thank you,
-d. vyd
