    The s will not stay small

    This may sound like a very strange problem, but let me explain. I have attached a db file to this post. By clicking on frmEmail, and then opening it in design mode to show the code, one can see

    that the he file contains the line:

    StWho = Me.cboFullname.Column(1)

    now I want to change the line and I can, like this:

    stWho = Me.cboFullname.Column(1)

    the topmost line throws an error the corrected line does not, now when I save the file after I change it to small s, the MS Access 2010 switches the s back to capital S. This is not what I want, the small s is what I want. It is as in the line immediately above. However, when I change StWho to stWho the MS Access 2010 changes it back when I save. I cannot understand why.

    I have included the file to demonstrate my point. It may seem crazy, but this is what is happening.

    This does not happen on any other code chage on in the line and string variant that I have outlined.

    What is going on?

    Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Respectfully,

    Lou Reed

    The reason why your changing it to stWho and then Access changing it back to StWho is because you have it dimmed at the top as StWho.

    Whatever error you are getting is not related to the capitalization or not of StWho...

    Incidentally, the standard prefix for a string variable is str.

    i know that, but fr some reason this code has st an str as a prefix for a string variable.
