This is my first post as I have sought this forum out as I try and find the answer to a problem I have just encountered.

Background - we have just upgraged to Office 2010. Much of our work involves running mail merges in Word with data being populated from an Access database. A lot of the merge fields are currency.

In our previous version of Office this worked fine, with the currency format retained in the merged Word document. Using Office 2010 all formatting drops out of the merged fields.



I am not an IT expert but I believe that this may be the result of 2010 using OLEDB rather than DDE to merge.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a simple fix for this problem?
