MS Access Compatibility Issues With Windows 10?

I'm having trouble running Access 2010 on my Windows 10 laptop. The tables and queries on the left side are not spaced properly, the check boxes are not graphically formatted properly, etc. It just doesn't look the same as it does on my Windows 7 desktop. I have Intel HD Graphics 520 on my laptop. 3200 x 1800 resolution. I haven't changed any of the graphics settings. All I'm trying to do is have both applications look the same. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If I run the Windows 10 compatibility troubleshooter on the MSACCESS executable on my laptop it says there are compatibility issues, yet Access 2010 is supposed to be compatible with Windows 10.

I use access 2010 (32bit) on win 10 without any issues. Can you show 'before and after' screenshots to demonstrate what you mean

Ajax, thanks for a quick response. I'll pull something together tomorrow.

I get the checkbox style per the 2007 version, so there may be a setting somewhere to change this, regret I don't know where. You could try compact and repairing.

With regards the navigation window, that may be a view setting. Right click on the bar at the top (the one used to decided what to view and order) then select 'view by' and then select 'list'

I'll be jiggered if I can find a setting for the check box style. I have 'view by' list selected. I guess this is just one of life's great mysteries. Maybe it has nothing to do with Access at all - maybe a graphics problem.

only other thing I can suggest is you ensure win10 has been updated for all patches (although I think that is a given these days)

There is a check box style property setting in the property sheet, but for 2007 it has very little effect. Maybe it's more pronounced in later versions.

Applications, including all MS Office application, do have a different appearance between versions of Windows. This is controlled by Windows and the video drivers not the applications.

AFAIK, there is not way to make Windows 10 look like older versions. You might get close by trying different Windows themes.

I do now that Access does not like it when you Change the size of text, apps, and other items setting to something larger than 100%.
