Registration of Attendees

Hi,
I'm new to the forum and registered because I am in need of a tool in access. I'm looking to build a database that can:

1. import registered patricipants to an event
2. process bar-code scanned confirmations that someone is truly there
3. process standard status for example: Not attended, Attended but got to the event on his/her own etc etc
4. print the ultimate list of people truly attended, so omit anyone that was not scanned as "attended"

Is something like that already available free of charge, or is it easier to build myself...

You might poke around the Microsoft site searching for "attendance template" or something along those lines. I believe they have some student/class templates. Everything you describe should be possible with Access but even if you find a template I suspect it will require significant modifications to fit your specific needs.
